Fax Me Outside — Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Effective: [launch date]
Fax Me Outside has no accounts and no login. This policy explains exactly what we collect to send your fax, how long we keep it, and who we share it with.
1. What we collect
- The recipient fax number you enter.
- Your email address, so we can send a receipt or a status update.
- The document you upload and its page count.
- Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers.
2. What happens to your document
Your uploaded file is stored encrypted, only for as long as it takes to transmit the fax. Once the fax is delivered or reaches final failure, the file is automatically deleted. Every deletion is logged internally so we can confirm the cleanup happened.
3. What we keep afterward
We keep a transaction record — status, page count, timestamps, amount, and the masked destination number — for about 90 days, to issue receipts and to have evidence on hand if a card payment is disputed. This record never includes the contents of your file, which is already deleted by that point.
4. Encryption
All data in transit is encrypted over TLS, including uploads, payment redirects, and the status page.
5. No accounts, no ad tracking, no data sales
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log into. We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build tracking profiles, and we do not sell your data to anyone, ever.
6. Who we share information with
We use a small number of processors to run the service. Each only sees what it needs to do its job:
- Stripe — processes payment, holds and captures the charge.
- Telnyx — transmits the fax to the recipient number.
- Resend — delivers receipt, failure, and support emails.
- Vercel — hosts the application and temporary file storage.
- Upstash — stores job status and transaction records.
7. Data requests
To ask what we hold about a submission, or to request deletion of a transaction record, contact support@faxmeoutside.com.
